Navigating Your Mac Mini

Your Mac Mini is delivered as a managed environment designed to provide maximum uptime, performance, and security.

  • Verify NoMachine works
  • Confirm Chrome launches & Mac Fan Control is running
  • Locate Desktop Applications Folder
  • Change Password (Optional)

For security and platform stability, we do not provide administrator (admin) access to customer accounts.

This helps prevent accidental system modifications that could impact performance, connectivity, or future updates.

We manage operating system updates on your behalf.

When important macOS updates become available, our team will deploy them as needed to ensure security and compatibility. We also plan to add self-service update controls to the dashboard in a future release.

To maintain system stability and security, customers cannot install applications directly into the system Applications directory.

When downloading software:

  1. Download the application normally.
  2. Move the application to the Desktop Applications folder provided on your Mac Mini.
  3. Launch the application from that location.

Most automation tools and applications will function normally from this folder.

We strongly recommend changing your password regularly, ideally once per month.

Please note:

  • Password changes are performed by you.
  • We do not have access to your updated password.
  • We cannot recover or view your password after it has been changed.

Be sure to store your password securely before making any changes.

Your Mac Mini has been optimized for 24/7 availability.

The following features have been disabled:

  • Sleep Mode
  • Lock Screen
  • Screen Saver

This ensures your Mac remains accessible through NoMachine at all times.

Google Chrome comes pre-installed and is ready to use immediately after provisioning.

Macs Fan Control is pre-installed to help maintain proper cooling and airflow within our cabinet infrastructure.

Please do not modify the fan settings.

We run automated monitoring to ensure fan management remains configured correctly. If a Macs Fan Control window or notification appears, it is safe to close or minimize it.

If an application requires administrative privileges or special system permissions, please contact support. Our team can review the request and assist with installation when possible.
